Bi-Folding Doors
Timber Bi-Folding Doors from Timber Windows Horsham add a completely new dimension to your home by breaking down the division between home and garden and creating a flexible space, perfect for modern living.
The doors fold and slide to the side of the opening, leaving you an uninterrupted space and easy access to the garden.
The large expanses of glass means that your room will be flooded with light although of course you can have them in solid timber if you’d prefer.
Bi-folding doors are very popular in new extensions either to separate rooms or to join them together so maximising the space.
Engineered timber
To give our Bi-folding doors incredible strength and to ensure they don’t warp or bend we use engineered timber from Redwood, Meranti or Oak.
Engineered timber is created by layering strips of wood together with the grain running in opposite directions. The strength of the timber makes it possible to make super slim doors while still being able to incorporate double glazing.
Double Glazing
Some people worry that the large expanse of glass on bi-folding doors will cause massive heat loss in the winter or huge heat generation in the summer.
There’s no need to worry – our Argon gas filled double glazed units provide such efficient thermal insulation that your room will stay comfortable whatever the weather outside, summer or winter.
Paint
To ensure your Bi-Folding Doors withstand the British weather we use micro-porous paint and wood stain. The paint is applied in the factory before being hand finished. You can specify different colours on the outside and the inside as our paints are available in over 200 RAL shades and can be matched to both Farrow and Ball and Fired Earth colours to integrate with your existing colour scheme.
Ironmongery
You’re bound to want the handles and catches to match with your other windows and doors. We carry a huge range of colours, finishes and styles to ensure that your new doors match perfectly.
