Traditional Flush Casement Windows
Casement windows are quintessentially British in their design and were the standard window in British homes before the introduction of sash windows in the 18th century.
Casement windows are hinged on one side or are top hung.
The design of our Traditional Flush Casement Windows appears very simple. Hinging on one side, the window shuts and sits flush with the frame.
While apparently very simple, the clever modern technology of warp resistant engineered timber, ventilation grooves, drainage channels and our super efficient double glazed units are all built in to the sleek design.
Engineered timber
Being obsessed with quality we use engineered timber on all our casement windows to ensure that they never warp or bend.
Engineered timber is created by laying layers of solid wood together with the grain going in opposite directions so any movement in one layer is counteracted in the next layer. This creates a fantastically strong and rigid material which guarantees that our windows provide many years of problem-free operation for you.
Double glazing
In tune with today’s environmental concerns, our windows all provide a level of thermal insulation in excess of that demanded by Building Regs. While delivering high levels of thermal insulation there is very little loss of natural light so you stay cosy and warm while also saving money.
Security
To ensure that our casement windows are ultimately secure we fit all glass from the inside so it can’t be removed from the outside. Our flush casement windows have a sophisticated locking system which locks the window in four different points, ensuring maximum security and protection from the elements.
Micro-porous paint
In line with our 8 year paint guarantee we use micro-porous paint which except for the occasional check and clean needs virtually no maintenance while affording great protection to the wood. All our paints can be matched to Farrow & Ball or Fired Earth colours allowing you to co-ordinate with your interior décor.
Ironmongery
You’ll want to match your window furniture to the style of the windows. Our range of Standard, Samuel Heath or Anvil ironmongery allows you to match both style and colour, so adding the perfect finishing touch to your windows.
