The difference between Lipped Casement windows and other Casement Windows is that they include a sash which slightly overlaps the frame when the window is closed.
This gives added protection from wind and rain and leads to them being referred to as “Stormproof” windows.
Lipped Casement windows are in fact the most commonly used windows in the UK.
If your property is particularly exposed to the weather, Traditional Lipped “Stormproof” windows would be a good choice.
When you combine Lipped Casements with our advanced double glazing and engineered timber, you have a fantastically insulated and robust window, that will operate, virtually maintenance free for many years.
Engineered timber
We use engineered timber on Traditional Lipped Casement windows.
Engineered timber is created by laying layers of solid wood together with the grain going in opposite directions. This creates a remarkably strong and rigid material which means that our windows never bend or warp and that they perform just as well as UPVC windows but obviously look so much more aesthetically pleasing.
Double glazing
All our Traditional Lipped Casement windows are double glazed and utilise cutting edge technology such as Argon gas filled spaces and low conductivity space bars which guarantee high levels of thermal insulation with little loss in natural light which will keep you cosy and warm while saving you money.
Security
To ensure that our Traditional Lipped Casement Windows are ultimately secure we fit all glass from the inside so it can’t be removed from the outside. Our Lipped Casement Windows have a sophisticated locking system which locks the window in four different points, ensuring maximum security and protection from the elements.
Micro-porous paint
To ensure your Traditional Lipped Casement windows give you many years of problem-free usage we use micro-porous paint, which gives great protection yet needs virtually no maintenance. To harmonise with your existing décor, all our paints can be matched to Farrow & Ball and Fired Earth colours.
Ironmongery
We carry a huge range of ironmongery from traditional to modern, including the Samuel Heath range to help you create whatever look you want and to match your other windows and doors.
