Traditional (conventional) Front Doors

Traditional Front Doors

If there’s one part of your house that makes a statement and sets the tone of your house, it’s the front door.

For modern and even more appropriately, for period properties, our solid or composite wooden doors add character, beauty and instant kerb appeal that UPVC never could.

The main section of our front doors is over two inches thick which gives the door a reassuring heft and solidity. This is supported by a multi point locking system, comprising hook bolts and a deadlock to give you total peace of mind about your security.

Our front doors arrive pre-finished, with the paint matched to any RAL colour or Farrow & Ball or Fired Earth shade.

Your door will come with a letter box already fitted, reducing the amount of heat lost through this traditionally problematic area.

To finish off your stunning new front door, simply choose from our wide range of ironwork and plain or stained glassware.

We use only the best materials in the construction of our front doors guaranteeing doors that look and perform brilliantly.

Like an extension

The Bi-Folds make the outside area feel like an extension of the house; we love opening them up for entertaining and often sit both in and outside with the doors wide open.

More solid and far less cold

The prevailing winds across the nearby hills made the house quite chilIy. It’s now a lot quieter, feels much more solid and far less cold now.

Engineered Timber

We only use engineered timber for all our front doors.

Engineered timber is created by laying layers of solid wood together with the grain going in opposite directions. This creates a remarkably strong and rigid material which means that our doors never bend or warp, ensuring the door and frame fit perfectly for years.

Paint

We use micro-porous paint or wood stain. The paint can be matched to Farrow &Ball or Fired Earth colours, which gives great protection while needing minimal maintenance.
You can choose to have a different colour outside to inside and can have different coloured frame to the sash if you want.

Double Glazing

If you want to brighten up your hallway, you can choose patterned or etched glass for your front door. To reduce heat loss we use either thermal coated glass or double glazed units as standard.

Ironmongery

Finish off your new front door perfectly by choosing ironwork from our huge selection. We carry the Samuel Heath and Anvil ranges and the Kirkpatrick suite. From knockers, to letterboxes, latches and chains we have the styles and finishes to co-ordinate with your existing accessories.
